Which YP release of the plugin are you using? Can you provide more details on how the toolchain is built/installed/setup?

    After clicking on apply & close, the configuration is not saved. When 
    going back on Open Window->Preferences->Yocto Project SDK, I find the 
    default options
    
    I try with
    . eclipse neon and eclipse oxygene,
    . on ubuntu LTS 16.O4 and ubuntu 17.10
    . java machine java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64 and java-1.9
