[eclipse-poky] timo/maven rebased on top of master

timo/maven rebased on top of master with the latest commits from Chin Huat.

Please review timo/maven in preparation for submission to mailing list for
merge to master.

The "master" branch will fork at that point compared to oxygen-master. All
new development will be master only. Any new bug fixes for sumo (YP 2.5)
will be on master, oxygen-master and oxygen/sumo (and back ported if they
apply).
