Older kernels don't compile with gcc5+, it's a problem every BSP
maintainer is facing or has just faced recently :-)
I assume there's a fix in master for this, you stumbled on it because
you're using a slightly older release (fido). Someone will need to
backport the fix for any older, supported releases.
