This happens on the Skylake Saddle Brook platform. I'm not seeing how it 
could crash either, but I've replicated it with 2 clean kernel rebuilds 
just to make sure all the modules are rebuilt with the new structure. 
I'll be trying again soon to check if it is a compiler bug.

The kernel was also built with CC_STACKPROTECTOR_STRONG.
