[meta-freescale] binutils question

Hi.

I'm including the binutils in my compile (v 2.23.2), but I still get a
light version of the ar command (doesn't include some of the flags some
package requires when building).
Is there some flag (or some setting) I can do to get the pull version of
the binutils files?
Right now I'm manually compiling these package to get the full version in
my ARM image.
