[meta-ti] Regarding linux configuraion

Vijay,

The Linux configuration is the defconfig file referenced in the kernel recipe. With meta-ti there are two ways that you can use the defconfig:

1. The defconfig file can be a complete kernel config

2. You can use a flag in the defconfig to specify the use of an in-kernel defconfig. For example if your defconfig contains the line “use-kernel-config=omap2plus_defconfig” then the omap2plus_defconfig inside of the kernel tree will be used.

I hope this answers your question

Chase

Subject: [meta-ti] Regarding linux configuraion

Hi,
I am new to yocto project.
I have seen the U-boot configuration variable (UBOOT_MACHINE) in conf/machine/include/.. files.
I would like to know where the linux kernel configuration variable will be used?
Please help me to understand this.

Regards,
Deepak
