Hi Martin,
Just a heads up, I deep dived into this issue. It appears not to be a problem with udev itself, it is a problem with microblaze binutils and how it was handling relocation.
I have updated the binutils recipe in meta-xilinx master to contain the newest microblaze work, and this has resolved the udev issue. If you still desire udev, try building on master and let me know if you have any issues.
