[meta-xilinx] [meta-xilinx-community] Added support for Xylon FB graphical login for ZC702 and ZC706 TRD

Hi,

I’ve added support for graphical login using the Xylon FB, using the technical reference designs (TRD) for the ZC702 (v14.5) and the ZC706 boards (v14.7).

meta-xilinx-community now layers on top of meta-xilinx. I’ve test the build against meta-xilinx master branch, commit id: a500677ff3dc5a62a2294e2b99fa2a6d9a03a0eb

To test this out, ensure that both meta-xilinx and meta-xilinx-community are added to your conf/bblayers.conf file.

In your local.conf file, set

MACHINE = “zc702-zynq7”
or
MACHINE= “zc706-zynq7”

Set the preferred version for the xilinx linux kernel to 3.10.

PREFERRED_VERSION_linux-xlnx ?= “3.10%"

u-boot currently defaults to 2013.1.


Caveats:

01. I’ve had some issues booting with newer versions of u-boot, e.g. PREFERRED_VERSION_u_boot-xlnx = “master-next%”

02. Against the latest meta-xilinx master branch, there were some issues with getting the kernel configs picked up from the meta-xilinx-community layer, probably because of the 4 commits, starting from commit id:
