Urg, my bad, I modify the linux-xlnx kernels with bbappends. I do not
touch the linux-yocto ones.

Before I explain why, I would like to say that I would be a lot happier
if I would be happy using a recipe that used the upstream kernel as a
based with a few patches, rather than working with the "evil vendor
tree". (At least this tree does have regular merges from upstream so it
isn't falling way behind) (And I should point out there is increasing
activity from Xilinx submitting drivers etc)

But, for my actual work, I use the vendor tree since I can create
patches against that that easily apply by ading my patches to the kernel
recipe in a bbappend. Kernel recipes with large numbers of patches are a
pain to work with when you need to manage your own kernel work.

I am concerned about the the local code in the linux-xlnx recipes. (the
task additions and modifications). If these are really good ideas, they
should be sent upstreamed so that the behavior of the Xilinx kernel
builds is consistent with other BSP's
