[poky] Yocto compatible of 'meta' layer when checking with 'scripts/yocto-check-layer'

Hi,

      There is below error message when I run the script 'yocto-check-layer' to check the 'meta' layer in poky project:
       #./scripts/yocto-check-layer meta
       INFO: Detected layers:
       ERROR: meta: Can't be DISTRO and BSP type at the same time. The conf/distro and conf/machine folders was found.

       So my questions are:

a.        Does this mean that 'meta' layer is Yocto un-compatible?

b.      Is there any plan for 'meta' layer to pass this checking and get the Yocto compatible logo?

c.       If b is not,  any modifications need to do on the script 'yocto-check-layer' ?
