I think that this would be good idea, because:
(a) Having a graphic there helps makes the page look strong, plus also re-enforces the graphics potential of the Toaster interface (I am thinking with my salesperson hat on).
(b)Having an image will support me quickly implementing this requirement as a whole, while you test the alternative links and widgets for a subsequent fine tuning.
