[Toaster] Toaster weekly call notes (28th Jan)

Weekly update:

David: working on 7231. Looking at responses to his questions from Michael
and Belén. He'll retry building with master and report back if he has any
trouble.

Alex: working on bug fixes. Submitted a fix for 7213 upstream and is now
struggling with getting Toaster to build with local and dizzy releases.

Belén: filing bugs and a bit of bug fixing.

Michael: error reporting tool mainly. But he is back to Toaster, working
on 7187 currently, but might need to change that based on priorities

Mihail: working hard trying to catch up with bug fixes. Not quite there
yet: still some to check and a couple of features. Hoping to get through
them by next week. He also verified RP's fix to the memory resident
server, which is working. Ionut is quite up to date, just one bug pending.

Paul: 3 bugs have been moved from 1.7.1 from 1.7.2. and 1.8M3.

Alex Vaduva joined the call for the first time. Welcome, AlexV!

Opens:

How do we add the required space to the value of IMAGE_INSTALL_append?
Paul observes that there is a varflag that if set to 'list' indicates that
the variable needs a space before the first list item. We need to think
about this, but keeping in mind that it's a stopgap, so no need to go
crazy with the engineering of it. Another approach might be deferring
responsibility to the user and use help text to ask them to enter the
space manually. Belén doesn't particularly like this approach, since we
all know how people using software read thoroughly all the instructions
provided, don't we?

Bug review and M2 release. We have identified 5 issues that should be
fixed upstream before we can announce the build functionality: 7213, 6593,
6755, 7171 and 7189. They are all now set to 'high' priority. Once those 5
bugs are fixed, we'll announce the build functionality.
