We were: Scott, Mihail, Dave, David, Alex, Michael and Belén
WEEKLY UPDATE
Dave: getting acquainted with Angular for bug fixing purposes. Needs to
speak to Alex about removing absolute paths in the variable history.
David: sent fixes for 3 bugs yesterday. Now looking into 7461 (filters not
working as designed). The issue of the missing transition animations is
only a nice to have, so he might skip that one and pick something more
important.
Alex: working on the building side of things. Set up a hosted version of
Toaster with Apache and MySQL running the build on a crontab job instead
of command line. A number of fixes came up from this and they have been
submitted upstream. Discovered that the ssh build triggering stopped
working: he is looking into that. Also making some small changes to the
way we collect data, which impacts Dave's work on displaying paths in the
variable history.
Michael: some bug fixes. Refactoring and planning for 1.9.
Scott: received feedback from Alex and Paul and updated the latest version
of the manual. It needs another read through, particularly in the
configuration steps in chapter 4. Still working on embedding the videos.
He will be at ELC next week, so not much availability while there.
Mihail: nothing much to report. Verifying bugs
Belen: busy with some company-related distractions. Trying to keep up with
the patches in the mailing list, and planning / running a round of
informal usability testing.
OPENS
1. Changes to the paths in the variable history: Alex suggested to use the
same approach he has used for the recipes, but Dave thinks we could run
into performance issues because there are many more variable history
entries than recipes. They will continue the discussion by email and reach
some conclusion.
2. 7461- filters not working as designed: the proper fix is too invasive
to bring in. Belén will look at the existing behaviour and suggest an
alternative solution.
3. ELC: is happening next week. We will set up Toaster in a NUC and send
it to San Jose with Paul Eggleton. As it is, this will not run builds. We
will discuss how we could provide build functionality during the demo.
Belén will create a video that can be projected at the Yocto Project
booth, an we should have some way to announce our presence in the
Technology Showcase. David will follow up with Jeffro about the
possibility of having Toaster included in the Dev Day programme somehow.
4. Toaster refactoring; Michael has put forward some suggestions about
refactoring and improvements to the Toaster code. The idea is to get ready
for the new features we will be adding in the next releases, and make the
project easier to contribute to. The document is available here:

Michael will send RFCs to the mailing list for each of his suggestions, so
that they can be discussed openly.
