[Toaster] [PULL] Combined and rebased branch for 9475, 9631, 9836, 9952

This is a pull request for a branch which combines all of my recent Toaster
work.

After resetting toaster-next to master this morning (due to some missing
files in master), I had to rebase 4 of my branches which no longer applied.
I've combined these 4 branches into a single combined branch, to reduce the
number of new review requests I had to make and to ensure the branches work
properly together.

The combined branch (which I am making the pull request for) is:

  poky-contrib, elliot/submit/9475-9631-9836-9952_combined

This pull request supersedes the following review requests:

Belen has UI reviewed most of this branch, except for the work which makes
covered tasks display correctly (
https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9952).

Ed was due to upstream the previous component branches last week, but was
unable to, due to merge conflicts.

Note that because this branch includes a commit of a JS file with very long
lines, it may have to be upstreamed to bitbake-devel as a pull request,
rather than individual patches.
