[Yocto-builds] buildbot failure in Yocto on nightly-x86-64

Saul

I have posted fixes for eglibc-intial issue. It was an old problem
that should have shown itself with any eglibc but nevertheless now we
see it so we fix it.

Please cherry-pick

these two fixes should get the eglibc-intial issues taken care of
