There seems to be additional failures that I am looking into and will 
pull the appropriate commits and send emails.

m4 failure during configure, LT_PROG_RC seems to be an undefined macros,

A gettext mismatch v 0.18 vs 0.17, not sure why this just cropped up!

This one is on me! This is due to the libexec change I made (I think, 
digging)

Makevars was missing, possibly a bad configure.
