HI,
I've been trying to get QEMUx86 running inside a Fedora14 guest OS
running on VMPlayer.
After executing the QEMU startup (using the target OS example provided
by Intel), in the bash console where I enter the start up command,
messages appear that include:
Cannot register service : RPC: Unable to receive; errono = Connection
Refused (this repeats maybe 6x's).
On your target, please remember to add the following options for NFS
Nfsroot-IP_ADDRESS:/home/eric/yocto/file_system, nfsvers=2,
mountprog=21111, nfsprog=11111, udp
WARNING: distcc not present, no distcc support loaded.
Running qemu...
/opt/poky/1.2/sysroots/i686-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/qemu -kernel
./bzImage-qemux86.bin -net nix, vlan=0, -net tap, vlan=0,
ifname-tap0,script=no,downscript=no, -show -curser -usb -usbdevice
wacom-tablet -vga vmware -enable-gl -no-reboot -m 128 -append
"root=/dev/nfs
nfsroot=192.208.6.1:./file_system,nfsvers-2,mountprog=21111,nfsprog=1111
1,udp,port=3049,mountport-3048 rw ip=192.208.6.2::
192.208.6.1:255.255.255.0 mem=128M oprofile.timer=1 "
Enabling opengl
After that last line, VMPlayer hangs and have to repower.
In parallel with the bash output above, a new window opens (QEMU - Press
Ctrl-Alt to exit...) and displays a bunch of messages that fly off the
top of the display faster than I can read. When the thing finally hands,
the last few lines in that window are:
md: autorun ...
md: ...autorun done
usb 1-1: new full-speed usbe device number 2 using uhci_hcd
input: Wacom Penpartner as
/devices/pci0000:00:01.2/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0/input/input3
QUESTION: Am I wondering down the wrong path here - is it even possible
to run qemu within a guest linux running on VMPlayer???
Thank you.
