[meta-xilinx] should elvis' meta-xilinx layer be synced with poky right now?

No, I don't think you should do that. Tell you what, I'll take a look at
Mike's repo and try to pull in the required support and you can give it
a go. It might take me a couple of hours, will let you know when I'm done.
