It probably is a similar issue, it always seems to popup every now and again.

Try meta-xilinx dizzy branch with poky/oe dizzy, the resolution for the zedboard/zc702/etc issue was only done in the dizzy/master branch against the linux-xlnx 3.14 kernel. If that works for you and you are happy to use dizzy, otherwise let me know and we can look at back-porting that change to daisy.
